    Based at our Mt Wellington campus, we are seeking an International Student Support Officer to join our team.  We are looking for an energetic people person who is comfortable with a hands on approach. This role is a part time providing care and support to our international students, including ensuring that all administrative requirements are met.

    Your duties will include:
    • Ensuring that the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students guidelines are adhered to and compliance is achieved
    • Assisting NZMA to meet students welfare and other support needs
    • Arranging the colleges Phoenix Programme where speakers are brought in to inform students of areas of support and how to manage life’s experiences
    • Managing external communications to key stakeholders for students who have welfare issues
    • Conducting international student orientations

    About you:
    We are looking for someone who can easily relate to both on and offshore international students, someone who can proactively provide pastoral assistance and get things done. You will be very approachable and a great source of information and support for the students.

    To be successful in this role you will have:
    • A student support background within an international educational environment
    • Knowledge of the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students
    • Knowledge of immigration requirements and the visa application process
    • A good command of the English language
