About the role:
We are seeking a full time, permanent Business Analyst to join our IT team at ACG Education.
The Business Analyst role adds value to the business by assisting the Application Manager in identifying the processes and system requirements to fulfil business needs and deliver integrated, cost effective solutions that address both strategic and tactical requirements of the business.  This includes on-going support and maintenance for all business processes and applications. This position is both a planning and implementation role.

Your duties will include:
• Developing or assisting in the development of requirements for new software applications or enhancements to existing applications for Learning, School and Business Administration.
• Assisting the Service Desk with the analysis of application related issues and where necessary resolving by changing the applications.
• Project Management for the development of new solutions from design through to implementation.

About you: 
• Must be a self-starter
• 2+ years as a Business Analyst
• Previous experience with Microsoft D365 and a student management system
• Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills
• Demonstrable experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation and stakeholder liaison.

MAIN PURPOSE

  KEY TASKS AND FUNCTIONS   Systems Design and Delivery  
• Build effective relationships with various business areas to gain understanding of the processes, policies and functions, gaining the confidence of the business communities.
• Meet with decision makers, systems and process owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and goals.
• Lead collaborative sessions to explore opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes, operations, systems and information process flow.
• Use a structured, disciplined approach to understanding business systems, eliciting, analysing, documenting and validating business system requirements. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying the need for information systems within the business, and ensuring that the resulting, engineered systems provide benefit to the business in meeting defined goals and objectives.
• Identify and analyse user requirements; ensure consistency, completeness and accuracy; identify potential solutions and to make recommendations.
• Assistance to IS Manager in the prioritisation and project management for all the Information Systems Projects.
• Leverage existing systems to achieve greater functionality and enhanced efficiency for ACG staff.

  Documentation  
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas for processes and systems across the organization, including assessment of cost/benefits to support senior management decision making.
• Document requirements and specifications to enable the design, test and implementation of the process and systems solution/s.  Own and manage the requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new processes and applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, charts and other relevant documentation to provide information, assistance and direction for relevant parties, calibrated for their levels of interest and understanding (e.g. senior management, users, IT support, external technical professionals).

  Information Systems  
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems, and that interfaces between systems are robust and supportable.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes and systems, and other post-implementation support.

  Operational Management and Technical Support  
• Liaise with external suppliers, IS and business staff.
• Provide second level support to the Help Desk for all processes and applications.
• Provide advice to the Application Manager on problems arising with ACG’s Information Systems.
• Assist with orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

  Customer service
• Provide responses to ACG staff in a timely manner.
• Interact with ACG staff and vendors to resolve application problems; communicate with internal clients in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide high levels of customer service to all customers, including IT staff.
• Ensure all activity benefits customers.
• Follow-up matters to ensure customer is aware of status of query/complaint.
